A message from our President - Karen J. Gregory

Dear Friends of the Holloway Memorial Chapel:

Holiday Greetings!

As the Holiday Season is finally upon us, I would like to express my gratitude and thanks for your support of our beloved Chapel.

To quote the words of Saint Teresa of Calcutta:

  • People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

  • If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.

  • If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway.

  • If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

  • What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.

  • If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

  • The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

  • Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

  • You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

 Mother Teresa  (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997)

Wishing each and every one of you a happy, blessed, light-filled, and grateful

Holiday Season!

2024 Strawberry Festival - Thank you!

The Annual Strawberry Festival Was A Great Success

The Annual Strawberry Festival is now in our rear view mirror.

What a great kick off to the season of celebration and fellowship was held on Wednesday, June 19th, at 6:30 pm at the Buffalo Yacht Club Abino Station.

What a wonderful opportunity to mingle with old and new Friends of the Chapel over delicious strawberry sundaes, cookies and refreshments.

The Mini Silent Auction also culminated in a lot of fun with our many active bidders. All items were aquired, thus supporting the Chapel in another way.

Many thanks to all of our doners who supported us with auction items, as well as, the many volunteers who assisted in this effort.

Thank you once again for your support as we restart our 130th Summer Season.

A message from our President - Karen J. Gregory

Dear Friends of the Holloway Memorial Chapel:

In just few weeks our doors will be open and our bells will be ringing, heralding the beginning of our 130th season at our beloved Holloway Memorial Chapel.

We, your Board of Trustees, are very excited to welcome back our old friends, and meet new friends, throughout the 2024 season at our very special Chapel on Point Abino Road.

There has been much preparation and hard work done by the Board in the past months to be ready to kick off our season in June.

There will be 12 inter-denominational services this summer, beginning on June 16, 2024, Father’s Day, ending on September 1, 2024.

Throughout the season, there will be 3 Fellowship Coffee Hours, on the side lawn, after the service.

The dates are:

June 16th, our first service;

July 14th, Bring a Friend Sunday;

September 1st, our closing service.

All are welcome!

The Strawberry Festival, our annual fundraiser, will be held on Wednesday, June 19th, 6:30-8:30p.m., at the Buffalo Yacht Club summer station, on Point Abino Road.  Strawberry sundaes, cookies, and a diverse, exciting Silent Auction will not only be a great way to start your summer, but is also a wonderful, fun way to support your Chapel!

Tickets are available through all the Trustees.

Bring your family and friends, purchase your tickets early and help spread the word about our fundraising event.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!

May you find joy in every day and feel as blessed as you are.

Dear Friends of the Holloway Memorial Chapel:

Holiday Greetings!

As the Holiday Season is finally upon us, I would like to express my gratitude and thanks for your support of our beloved Chapel.

I would also like to thank our outgoing Board of Trustees and Ad Hoc Committee Members for their hard work and love of our Chapel and, welcome our new and returning Trustees.

This year, the Holloway Memorial Chapel will be celebrating our 130thSeason.  I am very much looking forward to seeing our Chapel friends and congregants, both old and new, at our first service in June.  It seems so far away, but we all know it will be here in the blink of an eye!

It’s going to be a terrific 2024!

My wish for you this holiday season is not only that you are with family and loved ones but, that happiness be at your door.  May it knock early, stay late, and leave the gifts of love, joy, and good health behind.

Happy, Happy and Merry, Merry.
